Niamh Teather

Niamh is a Consultant at Oxford Insights. She holds a BA in History from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in International Development from the London School of Economics. Her academic work has focused on questions of power, governance and inequality in international development, spanning the political economy of digital transformation, global governance, and the politics of conflict and humanitarian crises. Niamh is particularly interested in how emerging technologies are reshaping development and geopolitics. Her interests include international AI governance, the global diffusion of AI, digital inclusion, and questions of technological sovereignty, particularly how countries navigate the opportunities and dependencies created by new technologies. Outside of work, Niamh enjoys going to the gym, playing badminton, reading and listening to podcasts, as well as travelling and meeting new people.
