John Vesey

John is a dedicated professional with a rich history of contributing to the public sector’s utilisation of digital technology. John was one of the founding members of the Space for Smarter Government Programme team in the UK and developed solutions and approaches to supporting civil servants to understand and benefit from space technologies. This work also led him to engage with other nations and places (e.g. Chile, Serbia, the Middle East) in their space strategies and or approaches to working with space technologies for different government functions (e.g. marine/maritime, farming, taxation, health and care).

John has also been a co-author in documents to NHS Digital highlighting the challenges and opportunities of connectivity (5G, Wifi6, LoraWAN and satellite connectivity) to the health sector and specifically within hospital settings. John has also been the principal investigator in studies on how space technologies are increasingly becoming a dependency for CNI across government.

More recently at The Grafter, John has been supporting organisations like Oxford Insights in developing ways of working and refining processes from a sales and business development perspective with a focus on relationships and account management. This has also meant knowing when to step away and deliver the appropriate knowledge transfer to empower the public sector.
