Hugh is a consultant at Oxford Insights focusing on international advisory projects related to AI policy and the Government AI Readiness Index. Prior to joining OI, Hugh worked at the UN and in consulting on global security.
Hugh holds a first class BA in Oriental Studies and a distinction MSc in Social Anthropology from Oxford University. He is currently completing a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge, focusing on the political economy of investment, infrastructure growth, and conflict in the MENA region.
Beyond work, Hugh is a keen cook and enjoys boxing, and swimming at Parliament Hill Lido.
