Movement to Work

Quantifying Movement to Work’s impact

To celebrate its tenth anniversary, youth employability charity Movement to Work commissioned Oxford Insights to quantify its impact and return on investment for the employers it partners with.

The project collected data from Movement to Work and employer partners Marks & Spencer, BAE, and the Department for Work and Pensions to identify impact and return on investment across key performance indicators such as:

  • placement completion rates;
  • positive post-placement outcomes for participants; and
  • regional, ethnic, and gender diversity.

Oxford Insights also produced a downloadable tool all Movement to Work employer partners can use to quantify their return on investment for operating Movement to Work programmes based on whatever data they have available.

Three impact reports were published in May 2023, and are available for download on Movement to Work’s website.
